Flavoured Popcorn | Healthy Snacks








I used to think that popcorn could only taste good if it had lots of butter and salt, turns out I was wrong! Today I have 2 delicious, healthy popcorn recipes that will get your taste buds tingling with excitement.

This recipe is easily doubled or tripled. Flavour the popcorn right before you are ready to eat to avoid the popcorn going soggy.



Lime, Coriander and Chilli Popcorn
Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 3 cups of pop corn

Ingredients
3 cups of popcorn (already popped)
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2- 1 tsp lime juice
zest of 1/2 a lime
1 handful of coriander, chopped finely
1/2 tsp mexican chilli powder
salt to taste 

1. Place the popcorn into a large bowl. 
2. Add in half of the oil, lime juice, zest, coriander and chilli powder. Mix this well with your hands.
3. Add in the other half of the ingredients and mix well again. Add salt to your taste preference.
4. Enjoy!

Rosemary, Pepper and Garlic Popcorn
Time: 10 minutes
Makes 3 cups of pop corn

Ingredients 

3 cups of popcorn
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped finely
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
salt to taste

1. Place the popcorn into a large bowl. 

2. Add in half of the oil, rosemary, garlic and pepper. Mix this in well with your hands. 
3. Add in the other half of the ingredients and mix well again. Add salt to your taste preference.
4. Enjoy!
